Information and Communication Technology
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) falls under the category of Applied Skills. "The aim of the Information Technology K to 12 curriculum is to help students develop information literacy and the lifelong learning patterns they need to live and work effectively in an information-rich technological society. To achieve this, the curriculum provides a framework for students to learn how to solve problems using information technology" [from the Ministry of Education IRP]. From Kindergarten to Grade 10, ICT is integrated across the curriculum. Secondary ICT courses are nearly all computer-based.
At the secondary level (check your secondary school course booklet for availability) there are a number of courses available that students could take to pursue an interest in Business Education.
