Softball Academy - Seaquam Secondary
Program Description
Seaquam Secondary, located in the Sunshine Hills neighbourhood of North Delta, is home base to Delta School District’s outstanding Softball Academy. Kim Wright, former Head Coach for the Venezuelan Women's Softball team, and Ron Clarke head up the coaching team at the Softball Academy. Amy O'Bee, the Teacher Coordinator of the Softball Academy, assists Kim and Ron on-field and is also a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the academy. This year we are pleased to welcome Marina Watson, a Fitness Trainer, to the academy.
Students in this established program have two blocks of softball in their school schedule; these two classes occur every other afternoon. The primary focus of the Softball Academy is skill development within the school day, better enabling the students to succeed athletically, academically and personally.
The program is open to females in Grades 8 – 12.
