Film Production Academy
Program Description
Information meeting to be held at 7 pm Thursday, April 19th at Delta manor Education Centre.
NEW for September 2012!
The Delta School District Film Production Academy is designed for aspiring young film, television and documentary makers who are interested in learning the artistic and technical aspects of pre-production, production and post-production. Students will work with professionals in the local film industry to take a film from inception to distribution, learning not only the technical and artistic aspects of film making, but also garnering 21st century marketing skills through the use of social networking and new media.
The Film Production Academy, coordinated by South Delta Secondary teacher Paige Hansen, is open to male and female students in Grades 9 -12. Students will attend classes at “The Studio” at Delta Manor Education Centre (DMEC) every other afternoon. DMEC is conveniently located across from the bus loop in Ladner making this program more accessible to students across the Delta School District.
