Continuing Ed 2015 Grads

June 30, 2015

OUR CONGRATULATIONS to the recent graduates of two of Continuing Education’s career training programs!

At the June 16 ceremony, 60 graduates of the DELTA TEACHING ASSISTANT CERTIFICATE program celebrated the completion of over 460 hours of classroom instruction and practicum experience to prepare them to work as education assistants, where they will provide support to K-12 students with special physical, behavioural, or learning needs. The graduates were addressed by cohort representatives Allison Shields, Amanda Hamel, and Elaine Addison.

At a graduation ceremony on June 18th, the 2015 graduates of the EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION Program were addressed by student representatives, Enny Bae and Laming Law, while Nicole Stehr, Feyona Hong, and Karen Hui were awarded certificates of “Top Academic Standing” for maintaining top marks in their graduating class.

Through 980 hours of classroom and practicum training, the E.C.E. program prepares students to work with young children in licensed child care settings. Additionally, Post-Basic studies lead to a Certificate to Practice as a Special Needs Early Childhood Educator and/or a Certificate to Practice as an Infant and Toddler Early Childhood Educator.

Our best wishes to this year’s graduates!
