And relatedly, Seaquam Secondary School teacher, Todd Clarke, sent this email about his experience to Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent & Deputy Superintendent following the event:

Hi Dianne, Garnet and Doug,

I wanted to let you know how ‘awesome’ the kids who volunteered from North Delta Secondary this past weekend were at the Junior Girls Volleyball BCs.

I have worked with great kids from all schools but the kids from ND need special recognition.  When they volunteer they truly volunteer.  They are there to work and assist like no other kids I have worked with.  From setup in the morning until tear down at night they were always working and never complaining.  Happy to be there, happy to be of use, happy to give up 8-10 hours both days.

It was awesome…real stars!
