The Delta Board of Education, staff and students wish to extend their deepest condolences to the family of Burnsview Secondary grade 10 French Immersion student Laura Szendrei. Laura was a much liked and respected girl in the schools she attended in the Delta School District and will be greatly missed.All schools including Gray Elementary, Burnsview Secondary and Sands Secondary will be open regular hours on Tuesday September 28, 2010. Additional counselling will be available at these and other schools as required.

Welcome Back to School in the Delta School District!As we begin this new school year, I would like to welcome all of our students, their parents and our staff back to school. We had a glorious summer of good weather in B.C. making any vacation time spent here at home especially enjoyable. After a long summer holiday we are ready to resume our dedication to learning and teaching.

Students Helping Students Succeed at South Delta Secondary

It was Wednesday morning, September 1st. Over two hundred new Grade 8 students, the future Grad Class of 2015, were milling outside the gym doors of South Delta  Secondary School, waiting to experience what the greatly anticipated Grade 8 Welcoming Assembly would hold.
