Delta School District

Amidst difficult financial constraints and the challenge of declining enrolment, the Delta School District will submit a balanced budget for the 2010/11 school year. While cuts are proposed in all aspects of the organization, the district remains committed to providing the best possible learning environments and placing the learning needs of all students first. 
The District is currently facing a budget shortfall of approximately $4.0 million for the 2010/11 school year. The shortfall is the result of a number of factors.

Delta School District’s Continuing Education branch anticipates that its computerized registration, student records, and facility bookings systems will not be available May 4, 5, and 6 due to a major system upgrade. This includes “Connect and Learn” on-line registrations for all Continuing Education courses. Staff will maintain regular schedules and will make every effort to help you with course or facility scheduling needs during these dates.

Art Stretch is a program for elementary students who demonstrate very high artistic ability and an extraordinary passion for the Visual Arts. A small number of students from Grades 5-7 are selected each year for the Art Stretch program, based on the submission of a Portfolio.
