Daughter and Dad Ready for Grad - as featured in the Vancouver Sun
Delta honour roll student Calsie Peterson, pictured with her father Calvin, has an extra reason to celebrate graduation from Delview Secondary School this year.
After dropping out of school over 38 years ago and having triumphed over great personal struggle in his earlier years, Calsie's 55-year-old father is graduating with top honours alongside her and the class of 2010.
Calsie attended regular classes at Delview Secondary this year while Calvin attended Delview's Adult Learning Centre program. Adding to his accomplishments, Calvin was also the recipient of the Significant Achievement Award, which is given to a student who excels in a way that makes them stand out from their classmates.

Dr. Alyson Caouette, Principal of Delta Continuing Education told audiences, "Calvin is someone who has unbridled enthusiasm for learning and life."
The Delta School District would like to congratulate the entire Peterson family (Calvin's 15-year-old son Brendan is also an honour roll student at Delview Secondary) on your exemplary achievements.
As a community of life long learners we applaud your courage, admire your perseverance and thank you for being an inspiration to all those around you.
