Club selects SDSS Hockey Academy student McCoy Erkamps in WHL Bantam Draft
McCoy Erkamps was taken 27th overall by the Lethbridge Hurricanes in last week's Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
Almost a decade after the Lethbridge Hurricanes selected Chicago Blackhawks defenceman Brent Seabrook, the WHL club have once again turned to the local association - but this time it was to take Erkamps 27th overall.
The Ladner blueliner, who attends the South Delta Secondary School Hockey Academy, was one of three members of the South Delta Bantam AAA Storm to be drafted.
