Free education event for Delta Parents and Staff
Attention parents and staff of the Delta School District! You are cordially invited to attend a free education event focused on School Wide Positive Behaviour Support - promoting positive behaviours and social and emotional development for all students.
Delta District PAC, in partnership with CUPE, is proud to present speaker, Dr. Paul Malette. Dr. Malette's presentation will highlight the evidence based practices of school wide positive behavioural support. The goal of positive behaviour support is to improve academic and behaviour outcomes for all students through 3 levels of support – school wide, specialized group instruction, and intensive individualized instruction. All three levels of support will be reviewed showing positive behavioural support in action from individualized supports for children and youth with special needs to classroom and school wide supports for all students.
Since 1990, Dr. Malette has been a director of CBI Consultants, Ltd. He has more than 25 years of experience working with children and adults with complex support needs. Dr. Malette has provided extensive training to schools, families, professionals, and support agencies throughout North America. He uses his personal experiences as a consultant to effectively illustrate theory in practice.
