Update for January 11, 2012The long range weather forecast indicates that a cold spell should be expected starting next week, bringing with it some snow. As a reminder, student safety is the first priority of the School District.  Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children's safe travel to and from school.  If, for any reason, a parent/guardian feels that a child cannot travel safely to school, then they should make other arrangements.

Ready Set Learn!

Brendan Gallagher: Hockey Academy grad makes team Canada

Brendan Gallagher, a graduate from the South Delta Secondary School Hockey Academy, has been named to Team Canada for the 2012 World Junior Championships. “He worked really hard to get where he is,” said Scott Bonner, General Manager of the Vancouver Giants, the junior hockey team Gallagher plays for. The Vancouver Giants and the SDSS Hockey Academy have very close ties, working in conjunction with one another.

The School Act requires that you receive a minimum of three written reports per year.

This reality is why grade 12 students atDelview Secondary School spent a day learning how to balance a budget, work outfinancial plans, examine credit cards and debts, and set goals for theirfinancial futures. The school recently reaped the benefits of a contest hostedby the Financial Planning Standards Council.
