Help for Haiti at Hellings Elementary

Following the recent tragedy in Haiti, the desire to help in any way possible was immediately sparked throughout the Delta School District. Many schools instantly began focusing their efforts on ways to help, including giving of themselves and fundraising for those in need.At Hellings Elementary, students have been involved in a fundraising event called 'Hellings for Haiti' where everyone has joined together to raise funds for relief to the survivors of the earthquake.

Parent Information Evenings - Early & Late French Immersion

The Delta School District recognizes that French Immersion programmingbenefits the cognitive and social development of students, as well astheir opportunities for career advancement. French Immersion is a separate program where instruction is offered inthe French language for second language learners. Instruction in theImmersion program will parallel the regular English program instructure, content and academic standards. Delta offers two French Immersion programs; early and late. For EarlyFrench Immersion, children start in Kindergarten.
