Delta Breaks New Ground in Opening of First Traditional School

The Delta School District is pleased to announce the opening of Pebble Hill Elementary School as a Traditional School starting September 2008.

The idea of a traditional school was first suggested by trustees in response to comments and input received by the public. Through a diligent process of site visits, surveys and meetings within the community, which began in the fall of 2007, the response to pursue the proposed change to the school was overwhelmingly endorsed.

Continuing Education Features Choices for Every Learner

During the 2007/2008 school year, over 10,000 people registered for courses offered by Delta School District’s Continuing Education branch and though many of those courses were taught in the setting people traditionally associate with Continuing Education – weekday evenings in a nearby secondary school classroom – many others were held in the day, during the summer, and even on-line.

Life is But a Dream at Ecole South Park School

On Friday October 10^th, close to 500 colourful wooden fish were hung on the school's chain-link fence as part of "Stream of Dreams", a project that combines environmental education and community art to spread the word about environmental stewardship. The installation of the fish mural was the culminating activity of a week long project during which the students of École South Park School and Boundary Beach Elementary learned about where their water comes from and where it goes.
