  • SD37 Ignite a huge success!

    On Wednesday, January 20, 2016, Delta School District hosted SD37 Ignite. Ignite is a special form of conference where the presentations are just five minutes long, consisting of 10 second slides. The event was a huge success - with incredibly informative presentations and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. It was an excellent chance for teachers, staff, principals, superintendents and school board trustees to learn, share and connect.
  • Opera & Performance Academy opening soon!

    The new Opera & Performance Academy is scheduled to launch in September, offering students in Grades 8 to 12 the chance to get expert instruction and behind-the-scenes opportunities with a professional arts company – Vancouver Opera. The academy will offer voice lessons, acting, score writing and play building.
  • Delta School District offers English language training for refugees

    As Syrian refugees continue to arrive in the Metro Vancouver area, including in Delta, many are looking for English language training courses. The Delta School District, through Delta Community College and Continuing Education, has spaces available in its Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC) classes and in English Foundation courses. High School completion programs are also available.
  • Electricians help schools save more than 1.8 million kWh

    Electricians in the Delta School District have helped schools save more than 1.8 million kWh of electricity per year! That amount is equivalent to powering 163 homes for an entire year.
  • Super Bowl champ Mitch Berger presents gold ball to NDSS

    On Thursday, Jan. 7th, 2016, North Delta Secondary grad Mitch Berger presented an NFL Gold Ball to the school. Mitch, an ND grad of 1990, was on the 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers team that won the Superbowl.
