  • DELTA SCHOOL DISTRICT ADDRESSES YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH IN ANNUAL CONFERENCE

    In the spring, roughly 250 students in the Delta School District came together for a day dedicated to addressing mental health for youth. The second annual Delta Youth Conference was organized by students for students, and it was students who decided that mental health needed to be the focus of the event.

    Delta School District custodial staff recently gathered for a professional development afternoon geared at environmental initiatives in our schools. Custodians are at the forefront of energy conservation in schools, working hard to ensure lights are turned off, appliances are unplugged, windows are closed and the like.

    Just as Canadian adults from coast-to-coast-to-coast cast their ballots in the 2015 federal election, so too did students across the Delta School District. Nearly every school in the district took part in Student Vote, a national initiative geared at engaging students in the political process in Canada.
  • Pink Ribbon For Camille: Seaquam Secondary honours former player

    This past weekend, some of B.C.’s top senior girls volleyball teams came together to play volleyball and commemorate the life of Camille Gregory, a Seaquam graduate and star volleyball player, who passed away from cancer in 2012, at age 23.
