    ‘Oliver Twist’ came to life in a fabulous show at McCloskey on March 12th! The students, under the direction of Mr. Teng, were spectacular as they took on all of the roles of a theatre production – from the cast, to the dancers, to the chorus, and the set, lighting, and computer crews! The students learned every aspect of a professional production. We are so proud of all of them! Congratulations!!!
  • South Delta Secondary School wins third provincial gymnastics championship in four years

    The gymnasts of South Delta Secondary School topped the podium for the third time in four years at the annual AAA B.C. High School Gymnastics Championships, held March 8 and 9 in Nanaimo. Delta Secondary School also had a strong showing, finishing the competition in second place.
  • Delta Secondary classes collaborate to build cabin

    This year's Delta Secondary drafting and carpentry students combined their skills to draw and construct a cabin for a Ladner family in 100 Mile House. In previous years the carpentry students in Wayne McKinnon's class have had an opportunity to build vacation homes, sheds and garages, while students in Glen Addison's drafting class have created drawings and models of numerous projects.
  • Trustees and Superintendents tour the "new" SDSS

    Delta Board of Education Trustees and District Superintendents were recently given a tour of the seismic upgrades that are ongoing at South Delta Secondary School. Hats off to Frank Geyer, Director of Facilites & Planning, and his entire team for doing such an incredible job! So far the renovations are ahead of schedule and look amazing!
