Community
In addition to being proudly represented by over 16,000 students, Delta is also home to a family oriented community of 100,000 people. Located just 30 minutes from Vancouver and 20 minutes from the Vancouver International Airport, Delta is commonly referred to as the sunniest region in the Lower Mainland.
Comprised of three culturally diverse communities: North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen, Delta is surrounded by water, scenic beaches, golf courses, and waterfront parks.
Situated amongst some of the richest farmland in the Greater Vancouver area, Delta is a vibrant community that also houses some of the most environmentally sensitive areas in the province. In discovering Delta, one will quickly find that natural wonders such as the Fraser Estuary or Burns Bog are just the beginning of things to explore.
Perhaps it is on account of the agricultural history in Delta, or ‘our roots’ as you will often hear, but whatever the reason may be, it is the people within our community that make Delta a truly special place to grow and learn.
